There does seem to be a considerable increase in girls playing football and the opportunities and avenues for them to do so. I'm a volunteer Club Golf coach at my local club, and there have been occasions when girls have outnumbered boys at coaching sessions.
Can only be a good thing that sport in general is opening up more to all who want to play, whether that be by male or female.
