Which Player Would You Love To Take Back?

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/...ove-take-back/

    Gordon Smith, obviously.

But I think the article means players who are still playing. So who would you choose?

I think we've had better players over the years, but the main things we lack right is now is someone who can play up front on his own and someone who can create and score a goal out of nothing.

    Must be Leigh.

Op said still playing which us why he's not been mentioned yet.

I'd have to go with Leigh too. Him and Jace up top would be frightening.

Could never understand why people rated him. His cowardly performance in the 2012 cup final still angers me. Wouldn't get a sniff in out current team

Far from the worst offender and the spirit he showed the season after and his love of the club was infectious. Classy player too.

How anyone would choose Malonga before Leigh, Broony, Whittaker or Henderson is beyond me. The guy only played when he could be arsed. That's the reason his career has not been as successful as it should have been.

Don't get the Malonga love in, not doubting he was capable of some brilliance but all too often games passed him by. Great song though!

Do his brilliant, consistent performances the next season not make up for it? Class player.

Didn't rate him at all. Average player in a poor side. Wouldn't want him anywhere near Easter Road now. A lot of people rated him though which is fair enough

At this point in time it would have to be sparky.

If we could get any player, from the past at the same standard as when they played for us then I would be Riordan
