    El Alagui

I noticed Farid scored the winner for Ayr last night (albeit with Ryan Stevenson in goal). Last I heard he was with the Pars.

I'm guessing his injury record has caught up with him if he's ended up there. On his day I thought he was a player who could have been excellent for Hibs and it was frustrating to see him sidelined for most of his time with us. Hopefully he's still short of sharpness when Ayr come to ER this weekend.

He turned down a contract extension with the Pars as he had a move to Singapore (I think) lined up, but that fell through so he ended up at Ayr.

Was mentioned on another thread he played for the Pars against Buckie Thistle in a previous round. Came on as a late sub, so he is defo cup tied.

Lads played 19 times this season, think he played 16 over 2 seasons with us.

Great turn around for him and wish him all the best.

I thought he was brilliant when fit. Seemed to win the majority of long balls towards him and generally cause defences hassle. He was like Holt only with more goals in him.

I was keeping an eye out for him on Saturday V Dunfermline - didn't realise he had moved.

Seemed a nice lad with decent ability - that injury in alloa was a real blow to him and us. Thankfully, I've heard a rumour he is cup tied.
    Mon the Hibs.

I never seen anything from this guy that made me think he was a decent player, was miles of the pace anytime I watched him.

Was looking out for him on Saturday though, didn't know he had moved on again.

He was excellent in the Derby game at Easter Rd, won 2-1 I think and he scored the winner

Correct. Also holds the distinction of being the last Hibs player to score when Hibs were beaten by Hearts.

Two and a half years ago.

Before he got injured, Farid was a great player for us. He struggled to come back from it and you could see how disappointed he was. I'm glad he seems to have got over his injury now and I'm even more glad he's not able to play against us on Saturday.
