I'm still thinking about this and wondering if there isn't another foreigner that played in Scotland without having the luxury of an old firm team behind him. Larsson for now.

Larsson. Came back even better after that horror leg break, moved on and still done it at a higher level with Barca and Man U.

Larsson. The goals he scored in our league were ridiculous, but he also left Celtic at 32 and went on to play an important role in the Barca side that won the Champions League. That, together with his performances for Sweden at major tournaments, showed that he could comfortably play at the highest level, even in to his 30s. However, if we were including Sauzee then I'd obviously have to go for Big Franck

Guess who I pick!!!!!!!
But have to say Laudrup was a great, great player- just the wrong nationality! Otherwise I'd have said him.Last edited by Swedish hibee; 20-02-2017 at 01:39 AM.

Isn't it?
Surely it is about the foreign player who performed the best and made the biggest impact on Scottish football.
Messi, Maradona and Pele have all played football in Scotland. Surely they are in with a shout then?

Laudrup's time at Rangers was a bit before my time so I will say Larsson. His goals tally for Celtic was unreal and then went on to do pretty well at an even higher level at Barcelona despite being into his 30s.
I can't believe it's been 10 years since his loan spell at Manchester Utd!

That's why the Swede gets my vote... and I happen to think he was an even better player than Laudrup.

Has to be Larrson, if you look at the careers after leaving Celtic /Rangers, Laudrup never really hit the same heights were Larrson didn't look out of place at Barca, Man U

Larsson.
Both fantastic players but when you consider what Larsson cost, his injury and what he achieved after leaving Celtic it has to be him. Alex Ferguson described him as world class so that will do for me.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

Zibi Malkowski - Nobody has had more assists than him.

Larsson by a long way. The guy was a genius and a joy to watch - even by opposition fans (some grudgingly)

Different kind of players, depends on what you like watching, goals being scored or someone going past a player, I prefer the latter, Laudrup is the best player I've seen in Scotland
