    Gary Kenneth

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...ntral-38991819

It's not the fact he's in court that caught my attention but how rapidly his football career declined from Scotland internationalist to playing for Selkirk despite being only 29. I'm aware it's hardly a major achievement these days to earn a Scotland cap but was this guy not once quite highly thought of? Or was he always pretty average?

By the looks of that article he's actually retired from football now.

Plagued with injuries throughout his career.

Yes. It was Levein that selected him for Scotland.

How many players will be plagued by injury before one of them gets injured by the plague?

I was at his solitary cap, was awful, even at the time nobody could believe he had got international recognition, he's found his level now.

I remember being totally underimpressed by him when was at Dundee Utd.
I can't understand how he got a cap. I didn't thing he was club standard any time I saw him play.
If you're reading this Gary, you can wallow in the fact that you've played for Scotland and I haven't.
That being the case, wtf do I know?

One of the worst players I've seen. Was truly brutal and I've no idea how he made it in football.

I'm sure played for a club in Australia recently, managed by a poster on here.

My mate's son used to be in same team with him before he joined United. He couldn't understand how he got signed coz he was a huddy at that young age.

Was a big no frills lump from what I recall. We've had a few of them at the back in the past 30 years.

Look up " Bomb scare" in the dictionary and is says ---"Gary Kenneth" One of the worst players [and I use that term loosely] I have ever seen. Was always happy to see him in the oppositions starting line-up. Worse than a man down.

Delighted to see "NHC" in the thread title before even opening the thread.

A horrendous, slow dunderheid of a player.

    There's no mystery.

Charged with "threatening and abusive behaviour"

    Denies "banging on door"

He was probably just going in for a Rangers player.

Totally agree, the fact he made it as pro says nothing good about Scottish football back then. Getting a cap would only ever have been possible under levein. Shocking.
