On a serious note, how does the pitch get that bad in this day and age? Surely the grounds man needs to be shouldering this?
Unless he has been instructed to do this and it's all bluff that they want to play football?

Hearts potato patch
Hearts need a fine from the SFA for that disgrace of a pitch. Seen better council pitches at this time of year.

Apparently they would have won if it hadn't been for the pitch.
We'll guess what, it's YOUR pitch and we were both playing on it.
Also, there was nothing wrong with it when Rangers were hammered.
The bottom line is that Lennon got it right and put out a suitable team. Play to the conditions.

An absolute disgrace of a pitch. Ruined the game completely and as someone else has said, public parks are in a better nick. What an absolute *****hole that place is, one new stand isn't going to change that!

They'll be reluctant to spend any money it in view of the pending construction of the new stand. I'd imagine there will be construction traffic on it before long.

Utterly horrific. From stadium to pitch thru are a farce! They could only dream of having a ground like Easter Road. They truly are the wee team and they know it!

It suits their hoof and bobble style of football, that's why it's always in such a mess whenever we play them there. Good thing we can adapt our game to any conditions. They'll struggle to adapt their "style" on a proper football pitch.

Can't imagine that will be cheap to replace!!!
They will have construction work on it during summer for the new bus shelter.
It's been bad for a few years and can't see it improving - less light with new stand also. Still not seen any designs how the new stand will accommodate tractor access etc if it's a mirror image of the wheat field just a little deeper.Last edited by GreenCastle; 12-02-2017 at 02:50 PM.

A fantabulous ****show of a pitch. Some amount of front from them to put up a pitch like that.
Standard tactics from those helmets though

It's down to a misunderstanding
they heard that a Farmer helped us out so they got one to sort their pitch

Must be difficult for the groundsman when you have 11 donkeys trotting about on it for 90mins every couple of weeks

Is that what it's getting called?
It's an embarrassment to ploughed fields ffs.
They really should be sanctioned off of the SFA/SPFL for a "pitch" in that state.

It was their midden but we outperformed them on it.
Our forwards got stuck in,
We won all the lineouts and managed the scrum alot better than they did.

Was this another case of them watering the pitch ? they have done this on at least 3 occasions when the 'Football Team' came to town. Their season depended on them not getting beat today. And by the way that is one team of no class. They had one option to win on strength and our team gave them more than a kick up the arse. If they thought today was hard. wait till they come to E.R .

Can only assume that Cathro forgot to input the pitch conditions into his laptop today.

3 years ago we would have got beat today. Not with these boys. We know no they are pish. Sooner we get back in the top leaguenthe better and put them in their place. Taughty field. No anti-virus software will sort that pitch.
