The ball can go backwards or forwards. Players have to be in their own half and the kick off can't happen before the refs whistle. I think the Ayr Player meant to get a wee touch on the ball for Cairney but didn't. Either way the ref got it right. Hopefully he just started the watch again but there is no evidence he did. The second kick off came 25 seconds after the first. The game lasted just over 95 mins 6 seconds but there was a two minute stoppage in injury time. So 3 mins 6 second stoppage time played with 5 subs in the second half, the aborted kick off and some absolutely shocking time wasting.
