Going back a decade at least - Jamie Cureton and Craig Dargo.
There's only one thing better than a Hibs calendar and that's two Hibs calendars

Eoin Jess used to crop up a lot, though not as much as Jamie Cureton. In the days before internet Gordon Strachan was always going to come and finish his career at ER.

Andy Rhodes the (then) Dunfermline keeper used to get mentioned a lot. At matches he seemed to have a very good relationship with Hibs fans (though maybe he was like that everywhere).

Tommy Burns was another name that cropped up all the time.

Remember when Rangers signed the Brazilian Jardel? Sure it was so much of a done deal that there was the Karen Jardel Supporters Club named after his tidy wife!

Davey Gray and Colin Nish were linked with us every transfer window before they signed for about ten years

Jordi Cruyff on the Number 26.

Adam Le Fondre - who was banging in the goals at the time for Rochdale, Rotherham and Reading as well as on Championship Manager.

Not so much a reoccurring rumour but was there not a window where Paul Hartley was strongly linked?

His medical was completed and terms all but agreed when Crewe accepted an extra 25k from Villa and the rest is history. Sliding doors and all that, wonder how his career would have turned out had he signed for us instead?
