Logan - really doubted him because of his long term injury and weight but glad I was proven wrong when he left a legend!

Kevin Mcbride did a really good job for a while and I was raging when we signed him.

Russell Latapy. Had never heard of him prior to arriving at ER. What a signing he turned out to be. One of the best players I've ever seen at ER.

Gary Smith. Thought he was an odd signing at first but despite a few poor performances towards the end of his hibs career he was a good solid defender for us for a good number of years.

Steve Archibald.....seriously.
He was pretty much universally disliked by Scottish fans due to some poor performances for Scotland and many fans, myself included, were seriously underwhelmed when he he joined us. Turned out to be sheer class, all be it with a questionable attitude. We can only dream of signing a Barcelona first team striker these days.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

I remember the night in the 70s when my grandad took me to ER for a midweek game after we swapped Stanton for Jackie McNamara. The main stand regulars were mostly definitely underwhelmed.
Jackie Mac done OK for us, didn't he?

I was also underwhelmed when we brought in Stubbs, thought we needed someone proven how wrong was I!

I remember there being a sense of being underwhelmed when Alex McLeish got the job, because we'd been holding out hope that Kenny Dalglish was going to come and manage us.

Jim Leighton who was in Dundee reserves, Andy Goram who cost £325,000 which was a lot for a keeper and Paul Fenwick from Morton.

Eoin Doyle was another, think he was criminally under-rated at Hibs.
