Confirmed the victim of an incident in Great Junction Street on New Year's morning played for the Rose prior to taking a break from football to spend more time with his family. Tragic.

Such a senseless waste of a young life. A collection for the poor guys family at the upcoming cup tie wouldnt be a bad idea. RIP

Played with Shaun at Leith many years ago. Very laid back and polite guy who had a young family.
Absolutely tragic to have something like this happen to him.

Is sad and shocking. Two 'teenagers' arrested for it. Due to the leniency of our legal system they will be done for manslaughter and literally get away with murder.

I just found out that my sons girlfriend went out with him a few years back, seemingly a nice bloke too, very sad.

One of Darren McGregor and Danny Swanson's good mates. Very sad indeed and just shows that their are still a lot of idiots walking our streets and not afraid to attack people for no apparent reason. Hope justice is served properly. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

This was a bit of a shock my younger son played with him at Newtongrange Star for a couple of seasons and was a decent player but made a decision to return to Whitehill Welfare. Shaun was a genuine bloke and will be a massive loss to his family. Would be nice if Bonnyrigg and Hibs could make a donation towards his family from the cup game at swinney that includes the Hertz as well.

Don't know the circumstances but so shocking and tragic to hear of the loss of this young man's life. Horrendous.
Heartfelt sympathy to his family.
Gone far too soon poor guy.

Didn't know him personally, but he sat a few seats away from me at a game a few months back, and I'm sure I've seen him at development games.
So tragic

Such a tragic loss of life.
I read something about someone organising a minutes applause on the 30 minute mark this Friday - just so people are aware what it's for when it happens.Mon the Hibs.

Big crowd so I'm sure there will be a great response.
So tragic that both Shauns lost.
As you say Vini, may they rest in peace.
Their Hibernian family will do them proud.

Would it not be better to keep the minute of applause for Shaun Woodburn for the cup game?

Only slight thing is its at Swiney. Sure the fact both teams connected to Shaun would overide the Tynie factor though.
