This is why I'm not a fan of International football. I know injuries can happen at any time and it's quite likely no-one was at fault but it's very irksome when we are finding a bit of form and players then get injured while away.

I read it that he has left the practice session but will be monitored later , presume by the Israeli medical team. So hope it is just a precaution and he has no significant knee damage.

Collided with his own defender (Eli Dasa) during a training game. Initial thoughts were that it was a nasty one but its more swollen than anything

Any injury is bad for the team but we have a solid defence and Laidlaw has had games this season and proved himself capable of doing just fine if called up

TBF the general consensus with fans seems to be that he hasn't been tested enough to know if he is a decent keeper or not anyway. If we keep playing the way we have then whatever keeper we play shouldn't effect the outcome of the match.

Rocky made a cracking save on Sat , when we were only winning 1-0 .
Best keeper on our books . Imo.

He did and I'm hoping he could be the answer to our keeper woes but you know with us one step at a time. I'm more thinking/hoping no keeper should be missed if we contain teams the way we have been while scoring a few ourselves.

Laidlaw looked decent at the start of the season. Was surprised he was dropped to be honest.

Laidlaw's performance at Brondby makes me think he's more than able to deputise for Marciano.

I agree Mr White. Both keepers look solid, there's nothing between them from what I've seen of them.

Marciano has asked Hibs to make his move permanent, he says "it would be good for his career"

Saw tweet earlier saying he injured a knee at Israel training and has had to withdraw from the squad. Anybody heard any more about the extent of his injury

No, but he had not withdrawn from the squad, only had left the training session.

Apparently this was actually discussed when we went over to chat with him. If he settled and done ok Hibs would look to make it permanent. Seems he has settled in fine!

    Here's hoping it's not a serious injury.

Fingers crossed John McGinn doesn't get any game time at Wembley. Don't want him getting injured.

I hope it's nothing serious....he's a cracking keeper and credit to lennon for finding him

He made a decent save that any decent keeper would be expected to make, I struggle to describe it as a cracking save to be honest.

The longer that he is out, the better a keeper Marciano will be shown to be.

I was expecting some Dino Zoff-esq spectacular save. It was a good save, dont get me wrong, but I too would expect any Hibs keeper to save it. (Obviously we know we have had plenty duds in between the sticks in the past)

My thoughts exactly, our defence obviously has such confidence in him, not had much to do but shown when needed that he is on the ball 😊
