    Body shot
He's lethal with his body shots.

One more fight to unify then up to welter?

Have seen plenty of fighters stopped with body shots but have never in all my years of watching boxing seen a fighter in so much discomfort for such a long period after the punch.

Frampton and Haye think the boy was milking it to the max. If that bad it had to be an Appendix or maybe he just didn't fancy it

One of the things about body shots is that if they land in such a way that they impact on the aorta they can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure. It's more common in shots that hit around the liver but it can happen across the torso.
I remember a few years back when Jose Luis Castillo lost to Ricky Hatton due to a body punch he said post fight that very suddenly he felt light headed and dizzy. The body punch also broke his ribs but he said he could have battled through the pain of that, it was the feeling faint and struggling to stand up that finished him. Of course Castillo was well shot by that point and maybe just wanted a way out to pick up his pay packet.

Maybe the guy did take a dive or milk it but I think that's doing both JT and his opponent a disservice. It was a solid body shot and there are a number of reasons why it could have caused so much distress.

I’m not a big fan of the shows Frank Warren has been putting together for some time. Look at the state of Gorman.

Yes he looks good. Seems to have all the attributes to go far. His one big downfall though is that accent.Needs to get that sorted

Massive fight this weekend for the all the Lightweight marbles.

Lomachenko v Lopez. No UK provider has picked it up, so it’s £9.99 on FiteTV.

    Can’t wait.

Lopez has got under Lomas skin, something is telling me that's not the best of ideas, I will be staying up for it too

Yeah. Interesting too see if Lopez has enough to back up all the BS. I’ve never seen Loma this pissed, though he does still look totally in control.

I’m backing Loma by wide decision after a sustained beat down.

The weird thing was, Vasquez looked dejected before the announcement, and then didn’t complain once it was announced. Ritson meanwhile seemed VERY confident. I’m never into conspiracy theories but that was odd

Ritson's corner was odd. The words suggested they were confident but the tone didn't. Definitely something up.

That's the 2nd fight in the UK that Vasquez has been totally screwed over, we like to think that it's foreign officials who are either crooked or incompetent as well

    Absolute shambles of a decision

Probably just snuck the right result as Loma took too long to get going, but judges scorecards again, boxing is really broken at times

Big night of boxing on Saturday. Usyk v Chisora, with Kash Farook on the undercard. Then through the night Prograis v Herandez and Inoue v Maloney. Hopefully we’re in a good mood!

I had planned to have the start of the boxing on my iPad while watching our game, my amazing pals yesterday announced we should do a zoom call watch along of the game. Looks like I might miss the Farook fight now

Davis V Santa Cruz is on Saturday night as well

Had thought of that but my needy pals will go in the huff if I'm watching the game and boxing as well as talking to them

Tank V Santa Cruz is on channel 5 at 2am, not that I will likely be seeing it at that time after a Derby and an earlier PPV
