Liam Henderson's signed top raises 7 GRAND!

The Spartans dinner last night raised over 200 grand. I've never ever heard of a signed Hibs top going for 7 grand, or anywhere even close. Some going!

    It's a remarkable amount I agree.
    Iconic strip obviously.
Interesting to see how Lewis' auction goes tomorow night.

    Great for the charities concerned.

Nice number.. out of my bidding range, though I would probably have paid a couple of grand myself for such a great souvenir.

David David Gray's signed top could conceivably raise a five figure sum. Mental.

Absolutely ...... That top should be in the Louvre in place of the Mona Lisa with a 24 hour guard around it

Anyone know who bid for it?

Seems Scott Brown dug into his own pocket for a golf day with Jamie Redknapp.

It was Liam Henderson himself who bid for it. My boss was there last night and said he paid £6.5k for it. (Sorry if I have replied incorrectly here. My first post!)

Yes, donated it, then bid on it or charity.

    Probably a sound investment.

To put the bid into context, a Henrik Larsson signed Celtic shirt can be had for £300-400.

Hearts tops have little value. For example, a shirt signed by Captain Caveman (including a certificate of authenticity) can be had now, on eBay, for £18.99.

If you just want the certificate on it's own, it's £18.50.

I heard he was bidding but ended up losing out in the end.

Wow! That's way over the going rate. What mug would pay that for it?

Yes my understanding too. He dipped out of the bidding at 5500 and someone else won it with 7k

From his comments on twitter, he certainly didn't win the shirt at £7k, but did have a few bids in. His opening offer was £1902 What a guy!!

Cheers everyone for clearing that up.

Top class from him. If he had ended up buying it, at least he wouldn't have had to get it deliverrrrrred.

Just to clear a couple of things up, Hendo was bidding on his own shirt but he wasn't trying to buy it back. He was taking proxy bids via Edinburgh sick kids and was then bidding on the evening on behalf of those not in attendance.

Broony did buy the Jamie Redknapp golf for 2 and behind the scene trip to League of their own.

The prize of the night was a late addition and it was donated by Anne Budge...wont be popular on here but she donate a week on her yaught just off corfu...went for over £20k. Includes breakfast dinner and booze.
