As we are honouring Lewis on Saturday night it seems only fitting we should be honouring another legend a couple of days later.

'The funeral will take place in the Lorimer chapel at Warriston crematorium on Monday at 1pm. The family said there would be an opportunity after the service for donations to the fight against ovarian cancer and Edinburgh-based CCLASP (Children with Cancer and Leukaemia, Advice and Support for Parents)'.

Sam got a grand send off today with a busy turn out with many having to pay their respects outside.

Very touching to see so many tears and smiles and the service has some great stories of his life.

Good to see the club well represented with Sir Tom, LD, big Frank and a few others there. Magical reath in the shape of the Scottish Cup with his scarf and a flag.

That's good to hear. Sam's family must be rightly proud to know that Sam was held in such high esteem by so many people.
It's been said many times but still delighted that Sam was there to see his team eventually lift that Cup.
