Sevco steward shows the normal Sevco Dignity that we associate with the dignified one

    SD Ritchie ‏@sdritchie
A steward just got ejected from Ibrox for trying to fight the Hamilton fans 😂😂

    SD Ritchie– ‏@sdritchie

He was dragged out by another steward while screaming "I'm going to kick your **** in" at a Hamilton fan

He was probably just protecting the Rangers players from the inevitable attack that the Hamilton thugs had planned. He's a hero in the eyes of many.

    United we stand here....

Have Sevco released a statement yet?
    Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
    He'll die before he's sold.

Haha. Imagine getting wound up to breaking point by 1 of 150 Hamilton fans FFS.

    What a pathetic wee diddy.

The West of Scotland Football Steward was clearly goaded and only reacted to protect other stewards.

Under normal circumstances Hamilton should be fined for the behaviour of their fan but, given that there was the far more serious offense of their players refusing to show the requisite deference and having the temerity to be held to a draw, I would expect the SPFL to step in, overturn the result and award Sevco a 3-0 win.

Clearly the Hamilton fans had provided due provocation by brazenly and openly celebrating their teams goal instead of heeding the Loyalist dogma that a comfortable The Rangers win was a racing certainty.

I hate those hun **** more with each passing day.

Stewards still G4S there? No guarantee he was a rangers fan and that he wasn't provoked into such a reaction. Football fans can be complete trumpets after a few drinks and think that stewards are easy targets for abuse. Saying all that, if it was the fans fault then surely the police/more senior stewards would instinctively back the steward over the fan.

I think the photo with him and Andy Goram would suggest he is a Hun.

This is quite serious as it highlights what supporters of every club are faced with re. the mentality of (some) stewards who are present to ensure public safety and crowd control.
TBH, given previous reports, this incident doesn't really surprise me.

Fair play to the other stewards/ police for sorting this out.

If this had happened when we were at Ibrox then I could imagine it, er, starting a riot.

The photo is of the guy who tweeted it, not the steward.

Will there be a stewards enquiry?

...and prolonged. They don't like it prolonged. Which if memory serves, an esteemed court-judge-type-person has officially measured this at 11 seconds or thereabouts.

Public safety issue which really does require an enquiry. Has to be one for the compliance officer as well as health and safety executive. Looking forward to the daily record expose of this further threat to the safety of away fans at ibrox.

I know and it makes me question Scottish society where innocents like the sevconians seem to be the subject of this abuse from many different fans of other clubs. It's a tragedy

But not just those horrific acts displease them, they also live in fear of half way lines and crossing, crossing half way lines, it ignites their protective gene and they feel compelled to protect the terrified wummin and children from probable enemy attack. The Hamilton fan probably looked like he was considering crossing the half way line to goad the terrified wummin and children with a prolonged severe taunt. The guy was only doing what any steward would do, his actions saved all 11 terrified wummin and children. #prayforterrifiedwummin

They are especially terrified of the Usain Bolt-esque speed (11 seconds for about 65 metres, imagine how terrifying that must have been) that the pissed-up Hibee woman terrorisers allegedly showed on their barbaric charge.

    Which was also prolonged, somehow.
