2 weeks ago at this time............

I was just on the bus from Pathhead on our way to do a pick up at Hermiston Gate. Then onto 100 acre pub.

The team I play for here in Switzerland had just got bummed 5-1 so things could only get better. Was probably having a couple of cans in the flat.

Was getting the run around from a bunch of children in a 15 a side game of football in the sun pre Hampden.

We were making a large dent in the hospitality package drinks allocation🍺

    The DAY of DAYS.

What ever happens at our football club from now on the one single moment in life I will never ever forget or top.

This time 2 weeks ago I was a physical and mental mess. Just broke down in a fit of joy with emotion that was to much.

Greatest moment in my life emotion wise

I also couldn't help looking around at all the kids, thinking you lucky little sods , I had to wait 57 years for this.

Was one of the last hibs fans to leave Hamden as my son was on crutches
We headed to the Montford and were still there with a few other hardy souls drinking at 9 pm
I think I had drunk myself sober by then the number of shots consumed in celebration have no idea lost count

Sat in a car listening to Tam Cowan absolutely spewing that he's lost his material for his 'comedy' gigs in Edinburgh. 'Moral outrage' or something. Joy.

Tucking into a delicious Chinese Curry from my local take-away after coming back from Hampdump. Scouring youtube, looking for videos and checking out when Sportscene was on. Getting ready to take the dog for a walk, making sure my Jambo neighbours could see me and my beaming smile.....!!!

2 weeks on and still as fresh as yesterday. If I was to script the perfect Scottish Cup Final in my dreams, it still wouldn't have been as good as 21 May. The Huns, the sunshine, the lead, the last 10 mins, Sir David's injury time winner. I am blessed to have been there, with long-standing friends and fellow Hibbies.

Beating Hearts would have been the ultimate but beating Sevco, particularly in the manner we did it, is a very close second.

Close, but for me. Grew up with Hearts fans and still know many that are alright. The Huns are a breed apart, complete and utter animals in the 70s. Horrible institution run by criminals for dead-beats, liars, bigots and journalists. They are the Devil's own club.
