Spoken to a lot of guys, mostly owners of small construction companies and they all seemed to have been on the pitch. Non of them go every home game but am hoping they now start. One guy even lost his wallet but never realised until the Monday morning ! Wonder what he used to buy drink ?
I too lost my wallet in all the mayhem...the pubs in Leith were so rammed that no ID checks were really happening and my mates just bought me drinks that night rather than sending me home packing! Apparently my wallet has been found though, which is a relief as it has my beloved cup final ticket in it!!

In an age of people photographing and videoing half their daily lives, I went to bed late at night that memorable day with just one solitary picture of me at Hampden (a snap with Sam Martinez), and the following days celebrations in Edinburgh/Leith with family is documented with only one picture of my wife and two kids with my friends family awaiting the open topped bus. Everything is stored in my mind though, and the whole weekend will always be fresh in my memory, I'm absolutely sure.
Our season as Scottish Cup Champions starts tonight, and I can't wait to cheer the team out onto the park.

    This.
Just had a wee flick through some pics & memorabilia from the cup run.
We were there. What a brilliant feeling it was & still is.
Putting up a stout defence of it this year too.

I am sat in a bar in Punta Arenas, at the bottom of South America, watching the highlights. Even now, after all this time, there is a year in the eye. Very very few football fans around the world, none in Scotland, will know what that day meant to us. Truly incredible and never to be repeated. Thankyou Hibs, what took you???

Yes, the book was written by Andy MacVannan and is called We Are Hibernian: Scottish Cup Winners 2016.

Don't know how easy it is to get a copy.
