Super John McGinn in the squad for Italy & France friendlies. Well done to the lad but can't help thinking that's the last thing he needs after a ridiculously long season.

Based on current form I've no idea why and this doesn't benefit us as a club.

News like this can be of great benefit for McGinn, he'll be bouncing with this news.

Fair points above. He just looks dead on his feet as it is. It will be another mammoth season next, I hope he's given an extra couple of weeks off.

If we win the cup, do we need to be back training earlier for Euro games?

Fantastic achievement for John McGinn superb, especially given the league he is playing in. MOTM in his first international game doesnt get much better than that.

Personally, I'd not be bringing him back for the League Cup.
I'd give him an extra few weeks holiday so he ends up getting the same rest as all the other players.
We don't want him burnt out next season. He needs a rest.
Good motivation for him to push on and impress in all the big televised games over the next few weeks though (as if there wasn't motivation enough).

The way John runs he always looks knackered. Great news for the lad, well deserved.

Because they are winners of the Championship and are/will be in the premiership next season, as much as we hate them Rangers are still a big well known club world wise and the press will always have news about them, I tend to ignore anything the press writes bout them and Celtic.

Talking of Scotland, slightly off topic, but thought I'd ask on here....... Was anyone on here at Bentleys Bar in Tollcross for the Scotland/Engerland euro 96 game? When Darren Jackson came on, some hertz tit shouted, "aw fk off ya Hibs ******!"...... And a miniature pagger broke out! Was hilarious.
