That appears to be the message the West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan is giving out in response to the Manchester United bus getting attacked this evening!

What an idiot he comes across as. It's common place here to see the away team driving down ER with plenty fans around and it's not used as an excuse to smash their bus up.

FA (like Uefa) won't do a thing about the scenes outside, out of their juristiction.
For the bottles launched at De Gea they'll get a token fine n slap on the wrist.
The scenes after the match on sky sports were cringey as ****. You'd think they won the treble, they're moving hoose FFS.

Some of the behaviour of the fans was shocking tonight. No idea why these clowns do this! Seems the final game brought out all the idiots as well as the genuine fans.
West Ham should be fined for it. Personally think they should change the rules and dock points off teams of fans throw stuff at the players.

Man Utd were late for the spurs match because the police directed them down a road with a bridge that their coach couldn't fit under. Think its a bit of a joke how much this attack is being dismissed by various media just to pander to this last game at Upton park narrative

Everybody now:
We're forever throwing bottles
Whisky bottles at their bus
They fly so high, almost reach the sky
But like their hopes they fade and die

And why should West Ham be held responsible for the incompetence of the police.

Sullivan comes over as an odious little creep. His comments are no surprise. I doubt he will be embarrassed by them and doubt he will retract them.
Edit- it seems he has retracted his statement. Well I never.Last edited by greenlex; 11-05-2016 at 07:50 PM.

Don't condone the incident, but Man Utd must have been aware that there would be thousands of West Ham fans outside the ground 35 mins before the kick off.
They should have arrived earlier.

A bit of commonsense applied could have averted this situation.

In all seriousness though and I'm not condoning it, it was the last game at the Boleyn Ground last night and there was apparently some Green Street shindig which had been going on since the early afternoon, as you would expect from god knows how many fans with not much between the ears who'd been drinking all day, what did they expect? They were advised to get to the ground for 4pm due to the specific set of circumstances mentioned above but they turn up, at Green Street, at 6pm?

According to this mornings radio, Utd players and staff were still waiting to leave the ground after midnight, having had to wait to leave and wait for another bus due to the damage done to the original one. Can't stand united, but this isn't on. Where were the police during this? Can you imagine the furore if someone like Wayne Rooney had been injured?

It was really disappointing to see all these bottles crash at Upton Park on Tuesday night.
Anyway, I'm hearing their team bus was also attacked.

Given their fans reputation over the years I'd say the night's events were merely a traditional ritualistic farewell to Upton Park.
