    Player Ratings

Logan (4) - Arguably a tad harsh but his mistake for the 2nd goal is very poor and his distribution was not great tonight either.

Gray (7) - Defended well and got forward a lot but his delivery could have been better.

McGregor (8) - My man of the match tonight. Excellent defensively and bagged another goal. Should have scored at 2-1, though.

Hanlon (7) - Comfortable in possession as normal. Swept everything up well at the back. Solid performance.

Stevenson (7) - Battled well against Alston. Strong in the tackle and was willing to get forward when possible.

McGeouch (6) - Wasn't his greatest game. Especially poor in the first half but he grew more into the game as it went on.

Fyvie (7) - Quiet first half but he was far improved in the 2nd half. Much better in possession tonight as well.

McGinn (7) - Strong in the tackle and drove us forward at times. Good performance. Booked for being tackled. Bizarre.

Henderson (7) - Found himself in a lot of good areas at times. Took his chance well and improved after he had scored.

Stokes (6) - Linked the play up well and was unlucky with an effort from distance but he really should have scored that chance.

Cummings (4) - Poor again. Just not falling for him at the moment. Still a young lad and can only improve.

    Subs:

Keatings (4) - Ball bounced off of him a couple of times in good areas. Decent work rate, though.

    Boyle (N/R).

    Referee:

    Alan Muir (prick) - Disgusting.

Logan - 5 shocker for 2nd and suspect from a nothing ball late in 2nd half
Gray - 7 - looks to be getting some form back, just needs to get back to decent final ball
McGreggor - 9 - superb at the back and superb goal. Booked for what looked like nothing
Hanlon - 7 - decent game but coulda perhaps done more for 2ndgoal
Stevenson - 8 - so much energy and great link up play, few great crosses too
McGeouch -7 - looks like he can really run the show from the back and seemed to be catalyst to most of what we did
Fyvie - 7 - looked good going forward and done a lot of tracking back
McGinn - 8 looked to have somehow found his own legs again
Henderson -8.5 - what a talent and gives absolutely everything
Stokes - 7.5 - should have scored but brilliant link up play and engine
Cummings -5.5 - off boil first half again but showed a wee but class before hooked

    Ref - GTF

No chance. 2nd half in particular he was our best midfielder. should be a 7 at least

for me, Dylan mcgeoch was miles ahead off anybody on that pitch, composure is everything for his type of game...if this guy can keep himself fit, he could be the difference.

I truly despair sometimes. Fyvie was excellent last night and made plenty of forward passes. He has to start on Friday.

Hanlon and McGregor both generally excellent but both must be disappointed with their part in the 2nd goal.

Logan 5 - felt he was a bit shaky last night, definitely his poorest game for us. Hopefully that's his one bad game out the way!

Gray 7 - getting back to his best

McGregor 8 - my MOTM, he was excellent

Hanlon 7 - maybe should have done better at the goal but otherwise was a good game from him

Stevenson 6 - few wayward crosses last night but still a solid performance

Henderson 7 - delighted he got the goal, could see how much it meant to him

McGeough 8 - was excellent again, good to see him get 90 minutes

Fyvie 7 - played well, bit slow at times but possibly because he had no options in front of him

McGinn 6 - needs to work on his shooting

Cummings 4 - practically non existent last night, excellent pass for the one Stokes missed though

Stokes 5 - got stuck in as usual but should be scoring chances like that

Logan 3 - Poor distribution and shocker for their goal tonight. Might have been better saving that with his foot.

Gray 5 - Got forward well but dreadful positioning for their first.
Hanlon 6 - His general play was good but allowed his man too much space for the second.
McGregor 8 - Good headed goal and was superb defensively .
Stevenson 6 - Defended well enough but his failure to look up before crossing is so frustrating.

McGeouch 6 - Made sure he was constantly involved but his passing was quite slack.
Fyvie 6 - Was fine although pretty unspectacular.
McGinn 7 - He played well. I'm not sure if it was a case of being tired or lacking confidence in previous weeks but he didn't seem to be suffering with either tonight.
Henderson 9 - Well taken goal and good assist for McGregor's. Never stopped running all night.

Stokes 6 - Really good assist for the second and his general play was good, however that miss was a shocker.
    Cummings 2 - Totally anonymous.

    Logan 3

    Gray 7
    McGregor 9
    Hanlon 6
    Stevenson 7

    Fyvie 6
    McGeough 7
    McGinn 7
    Henderson 8

    Stokes 6
    Cummings 3

Stokes, McGinn and McGregor were excellent last night in all aspects of the game but all had gilt edged chances to put the tie to bed and blew it. We are a team that misses a lot of chances, and if we fail to go up this season that'll be the main reason IMO. Not refs, not Stubbs, it's our inability to hit a coos erchie with a banjo.
