    Ref tonight & bookings question

Alan Muir tonight as ref who was in charge at 1-0 win at Falkirk last october with the penalty decision.

Only 2 cards in that game but his stats for season say he is quite card happy usually. Do we have anyone on verge of suspension for next game if booked?

I would like to think that cumulative bookings don't count at this stage.. Hardly fair when we're having to play more games than the likes of Falkirk and killie and therefore have more chance of picking them up. And they certainly shouldn't carry over from the regular season.

Bartley & McGeouch were booked at Raith putting them both 1 booking away from a suspension iirc

Probably good to have a card-happy ref against the Falkirn hammer-throwers.

McGeough out at any stage would be a disaster.

Hope the ref is very very strong tonight.

    And both bookings were ridiculous.

Bartley was booked for getting kicked by the Rovers player whilst he was lying on the ground.

McGeouch was booked for questioning the linesman's decision to award a throw-in for Raith when it was clear to everyone in the ground & Stevie Wonder that it was a Hibs throw. Literally happened right in front of the linesman too. Useless.

Would the suspensions not be served 14 days after booking meaning it would be after the play offs?

Nah was raised after the first Raith game. The way of doing it has changed this year. All bookings get scrapped going into the play offs but its then treated as a cup competition, so 2 bookings mean missing the next match. Yet again something that very much favours the 11th team in the premiership as its impossible for them to have any players suspended over the 2 legs due to bookings mounting up.

Has this definitely been confirmed as just seems ludicrously unfair. If we get through given the nature of the Falkirk games we could quite easily be 4 or 5 players down going into Killie match.

    Agree, both utterly ridiculous bookings.

You do realise that Specsavers are their sponsors for a reason?
