Should I pay for her gloves?

Because I was working today, I sent my Mrs. Munchar down to get Cup Final tickets. She queued up at 8:15 & got served at 3:30. She said she was cold & had to nip away to buy gloves. She's got loads in the house. Should I say it was her own fault for forgetting them or give her the £6?

You should go halves on the gloves.

Tell her that she would have been home earlier had she stayed in the queue rather than go buy gloves and lose her place.

That way she'll know next time you send her.

Pay for them but tell her they count toward her birthday/Christmas - whatever's sooner.

Today a pair of gloves and tomorrow a hat and a scarf. Give them an inch and they take a mile. If your looking for an excuse to get rid then thats as good as any.

You sir are a soft touch, was your good lady collecting a ticket for herself and you, then she can't complain, deduct the cost of the gloves from her house keeping.next time you require tickets tell her to wear a jacket with pockets.£6 that's a hell of a lot of money,in fact a weeks pocket money.

Do they double up as washing-up gloves?

Great minds think alike. The pie & bovril before & during the game just now will be duly deducted from said housekeeping budget!

Your having your leg lifted mate, a pair of your old socks would have done the job perfectly well, gloves today, who knows what tomorrow.
