    7 years ago today....

I actually saw Hibs win the Scottish Cup!

Interesting to look at the squads the two teams had that day. Only 2 players from our squad seem to have done alright, although Byrne is now playing for Bohemians in Ireland. A familiar name on the Rangers bench tho!

I'd imagine it must be. He was certainly with them.
I remember going through that night wondering if I'd celebrate like it was the first team. I absolutely did!

you were like me, thinking Byrne could step up. I wanted him to but although he did not have as much chances as he deserved he did not quite take any chances given to him. His auld man was none pleased, iirc. He was with Norwich at the time I think

Covered the game for the official site, can remember me and Keith Reid jumping about in the press seats when the winner went in.

That night was brilliant, it was a great season to spend with the team.

I went through on my own and it was a real gutsy performance. Great night.

remembered I had a recording of the game, shown on Rangers TV, no idea how I got hold of that certainly wasn't a subscriber!! The biased commentary made the result all the sweeter.

Winner very lucky, here's hoping history repeats itself 👍

Of the 32 players only Wylde, Wilson, Hutton, Hemmings, Booth, Wotherspoon, McGeough have made any impact in the Scottish game. Sean Welsh as well who had been crocked in a derby at East Mains.
