Our club is on the ball after yet another embarrassing capitulation - within hours of an historical defeat, sending out messages from our club captain to soothe the wounded (yet again) and long-suffering supporters.
Sadly, Gray, I for one have heard it all before. You can only appease us by getting us promoted come the seasons end. Nothing more, nothing less.

It's just more of the "bad day at the office " cobblers . Better saying nothing than come out with this crap.

I'm not surprised Gray is not making excuses for today's defeat, because there are none.

I really don't rate Gray as our captain. Where has he been in the media for the last month?

Gray's been poor this season, Scottish Cup assist for Cummings aside. He was one of the players that should have been dropped but was one of Stubbs' untouchables.

Nothing against the guy but not Captain material . AFAIC the best club captain in recent times was Liam Craig more off the park than on maybe .

His form of late makes me wonder if he could figure out how to get a cross in round a police cone.

Sorry to say it, but it's all talk. Was speaking to a few of my mates the other day who all support different clubs Scottish and English. They all say the exact same thing about Hibs. A club that talks a lot and nothing much else.

It's hard to argue against when it's being said from all corners of the land. But is never any easier to hear.

I never pay attention to what players or managers say after defeats or wins . What does anyone expect them to say after a defeat or win ?

  15. #14
You were as quiet as a mouse today David. Instead of telling us it wasn't good enough, act like a bloody captain during the game.

David Gray isn't our captain - Paul Hanlon is. Gray should've been dropped MONTHS ago.

He was dropped a few weeks ago. Don't believe the stomach bug cover.

I'd rather we weren't subjected to this banal pish, which is an insult to our intelligence. It's so footballer predictable.

Does it really matter who the captain is.It's a team game and one that isn't good enough at the moment.

Gray has been poor in most games for a couple of months, doesn't show anywhere near the desire, drive and commitment to get past a defender or enough crosses in why ? Get he feeling watching a few if them that rather than bust a gut all the game they save themselves so they can last a game....when we score 3 and are knackered from our efforts then play a bit more conservatively, but we play like that at nil nil ..! Lead by example David Gray ..never mind talking it !!!!

The only bit of that statement that niggles me is the comment about not performing on the day. If the current situation was limited to what happened yesterday then you can stomach that.

It might've read better had he apologised to the fans for yet another let-down !
