    John Mcginn or Scott Allan

Who would you rather want at Hibs? Both undoubtedly have talent but for me I would go for Mcginn as he is more of a team player and not as much of a money whore.

John McGinn all day long. Allan can sook Hallidays root.

I think that Allan's ability is played down now on the basis of how he left.

He was absolutely brilliant for us - in my opinion he's quite a bit technically superior to McGinn. Less all-action of course, but it's a lot harder to split the two than some will care to admit. Put it this way - the prospect of seeing Allan was more enticing than McGinn for me. Not a dig at McGinn (who is an excellent player), just my opinion.

Are you serious? If you are then you win the "no brainer of the year" award :)

I get enjoyment not just from the ability, but the character/fight and a team ethic. Not really a fan of stand alone talent anymore. Tend to do as much harm to a team as good.

McGinn for me by a country mile.

Last season, we performed better in a harder league with a weaker squad than we have now. A huge part of that was down to Allan. He made us tick. I think he did a lot of good for us last year.

If we had both last season there would have been an excellent chance we would now be in the Premiership as Scottish Cup holders.

No doubt in my mind that Scott Allan has more natural ability than Mcginn.

They are different kinds of player and would complement each other perfectly. Let's not forget that Allan was man of the match for us nearly every week last season. To say it's a 'no brainer' is a bit of a joke.

Riordan had more than Fletcher, one is earning 50k a week and playing for Scotland, the other is at York City. No doubt in my mind McGinn will be the one who does more in his career than Scotty ''sign me please'' Allan.

He did, but he always seemed the player that was already on the move elsewhere. Not for me. Just a gut feeling though.

Allan's ability resided in the fact he could play a pass that nobody else could see. McGinn does everything outside of that better. Different types of player, both a joy to watch. McGinn will go further in the game mainly because he has an amazing attitude (same for Henderson by the way who I think is overlooked in terms of how good he really is).

Couldn't agree more with that statement.

I think John McGinn will captain Celtic one day and probably Scotland. Allan has fantastic ability as well but I think McGinn is a more well rounded player.

Allan is technically the better player. But I think McGinn will have a better career. He'll certainly play more. Allan is just all about the money.

Would be good, if we had both though.

I think he might even captain Hibs.

When Allan was at his best he was amazing to watch, but McGinn does more for the team and will go further in the game I reckon.

Allan loses the ball: hands on hips, turns around slowly, starts walking back with head dropped
