He's still not far away even after his triple bogey 7 on the last hole. He's turning pro next week and it will be interesting to see how he progresses. If he is successful then I wonder if his theory that all clubs should be the same length will be adopted by others.

I think he's already got loads of offers lined up for next week but what happens in the Masters? I take it as an amateur he gets nothing, even if he does win it?

Correct. No monetary award this week as he's still an amateur. However there will be a prize and of course the honour of finishing as leading amateur.

Well it's all set up for a cracker tonight. You could have got 15/1 on the world no 1 at start of play yesterday. He's 3 back with near perfect conditions forecast tonight. Looking fiorward to this.

It's been a real test this year given the conditions.

If it is a bit easier today then I think Jason would need to hit 66 to win.

    Looking forward to this

The English guys are all performing very well. Matthew Fitzpatrick in particular has had a fantastic tournament when you consider its his first visit to Augusta.

Spieth will win this and deservedly so.

Says it all about the masters though that the only stat he is anywhere near the top of is putting.

Two 3 woods to the uphill par 5 eighth.

Maybe they need to lengthen the course even more

Pressure can do strange things at any level of sport and it sure makes for interesting viewing.

I put £1.50 on Willett at the start of the night (big spender). Wish I'd been braver!

Looking good just now. If he birdies one of the last two then that will be good enough I think.

I'm now raging with myself for cashing out on Spieth to get some money back on that bet. Looks like he could get to within one with two to go.

I've got £2.50 e/w on Willets at 55/1. I've not got a clue about golf but Bob Bubka talked him up on talksport on Thursday. Pays just under half a ST

Well done. I had a glimmer of hope with Matsuyama . Really didn't like the second half of his name though!

As a Japanese speaker, I'd wager heavily that you couldn't pronounce the first two syllables of his name

The 'tsu' isn't easy for non-japs.
