Apologies if this has been mentioned before but is there a new strip planned for next season? my son really wants to get one but I'm reluctant to buy one just now at full price if it ends up getting reduced soon to make way for one next season.
Thanks!

There is a new strip every season now. There was a vote about the shade of green earlier last year n iirc it was emerald green that won the vote. If im wrong im sure someone out there will correct me.

I don't remember the outcome of that vote ever being announced.

Over the past few years I've struggled to tell us apart from Falkirk, Raith, Dundee - even Hearts on one occasion when they had white shorts.
So I want to go back to emerald.

It was interesting to see the various bottle green efforts, some of them were nice. But now its time for Hibs to return to the green we all grew up with.
The dark green might have been our original colour, but for the likes of me and thousands of others the green worn by Hibs they day we first started following the club is Hibs green.
For me there are a couple of things the club need to pay attention to with the next strip.
1) .. A few times recently the shade of green chosen has been quite wishy washy ..... I want to see a deep emerald green, the strip worn by Hibs the night we crushed the Yams 6 - 2 is probably closest ..... I still own one, but it appears to have shrunk
2) .. Don't mess with the sleeves .... I hate it when the white is extended up to the collar, and I detested that strip with the green stripes on the sleeves.
3) .. Hibs teams play in green socks with white tops ..... not black, not all green, but green with white tops !!!
4) .. Dare to match the home top with green shorts again and I swear I will pit a brick through the clubstore windae.
5) .. They can mess with the collar as much as they want ..... a rugby style 50s effort would be a nice change.
So to sum up: Green top with white sleeves, white shorts, green socks with white tops. That aside I'm no too fussed what the strip looks like

If the team wore this kit every year, I'd be ecstatic.
It is the best kit we have worn in recent years, bar none. And it's bottle green.

Can some of the computer wiz kids post up some possible design templates.
Usually the Weder Bremen kits look pretty similar to Hibs kits.
Will there be a new away also ? Like the purple - but need to get a white top to avoid clashes with several teams who were dark kits.

I do like bottle green but it feels like they always use a shade which is just slightly too dark
As for emerald green, what exactly are we talking about when we use that term? Is it the beautiful green we used in the B*tcher season or the minging (IMO) limy lighter green that we used for most seasons before that?
Personally I think we shouldn't use anything lighter than the green from the 2013/14 season but i also feel like this seasons kit is a bit too dark

I think the answer is, if you like this seasons kit, buy it.
Personally I love the bottle green, but understand the practical and emotional arguments for an emerald strip. Especially with a crew neck collar!

Was that the pre-season tournament in 79 with Hibs, Hearts, Man City and Coventry City?
I was at the midweek game(s) of that tournament at Tynecastle, but they wore sky blue that day.
