Best to go on Edinburgh to Queen Street service as via Bathgate is all stops on a Sunday as soon will take 20 mins longer. No news on alcohol ban yet but there probably will be one in force especially if the rugby is on as well. Groupsave tickets probably won't be valid as well. Engineering works doesnt start until 20th

is that the Linlithgow Branch or Service bus you're getting ? bro inlaw and i are both just 5 mins away from centre, i did think about getting through on a supporters bus and getting in a club but must admit i don't like getting tied down to time schedules/which boozer etc
plus, i think the bro inlaw gets a couple o quid of the choo-choo fare for being 60

There is a total ban between 9pm and 10am on ScotRail trains anyway, however it is likely that alcohol will be banned on all services to/from Edinburgh/Glasgow and all stations in between from the start of service until the close of service. Posters are usually displayed 96-72 hours befor the event.

I'm on the exact same one Steve. Train tickets bought last night. 9.30 departs Waverley and arrives into Queen Street for 10.28. 11.08 Central and arrives into Mount Florida 11.18.

I wonder if the closure of Queen Street High Level starting a week after the match is actually good planning. Maybe they looked at the fixture list for once. It would have been chaos if the line had been closed with the Rugby International and the League Cup Final on the same day.

If you're drinking in Glasgow centre and there's a few of you, just get a taxi as they're cheap as chips!! Approx a tenner form centre to Hampden

Queen Street High Level works begin 20th March so next Sunday is the usual timetable with 6 cars hopefully as its been in previous years. 00 & 30 usually on a Sunday at Queen Street and Waverley, the Bathgate route is slower so best avoided if you can.
We're changing at Waverley coming up but likely plummeting for the 1900 out of Glasgow Central heading back as its straight through to Newcastle via Waverley.
Would imagine the queuing system to be in place at Queen Street as well getting back.
