    John Souttar

Signing for the poppy theives by the look of it.

I would have thought a better club would have come in for him.

    Why?

He was utter guff against us and he doesn't seem to have been making much of an impact for Dundee Utd this season.

Why are they getting rid of their decent players and signing poor players? Doesn't make much sense to me.oh well.

Will he even get in their starting XI?

Wouldn't be joining them if he was any good

He's a good young player who's lost his way a bit, probably because he's been playing in a struggling team. As a result they'll probably get him on the cheap. I loathe everything about Yams but if we were signing Souttar I'd be delighted.

Delighted would be stretching it based on his performance against us surely?

He might be alright but it's a big gamble and not one I'd be delighted about if hibs were signing him.

Nowhere near as good as some of the stuff I've read over the last couple of hours

Some folk thought the same when they signed Wilson and weak know how he turned out.

I think he still has a lot of potential, been playing in a poor side but I think he's a decent player.

Just another youngster that played a handfull of games and the Press said he was the next big thing. Danny Wilson was the same.
Unfortunately for him he has not progressed to the next level and seems to have fallen out of favour in a struggling team.

Can't see how it's a big gamble. He's a 19yo with over 60 1st team appearances & capped at all under age levels. Arabs agreed to sell him for £600k a year or 2 ago & Yams will probably get him for about 20% of that figure. Sounds like decent business to me, unfortunately.

It's a gamble because he's been terrible, they'll see it as s project to get him to fulfill his potential but that's a gamble as he might not do that

And if he's so good, why are Dundee utd not keeping him? They're in dire straits.

Think he's out of contract so they need to cash in now.

Would they not be better waiting and getting the training fee.

The panel set the fee at £ 200, 000 for the lad Telfer from Sevco, and he's out on loan now.

Teller hadn't played first team football- too risky - panel could quote big money. Smarter for them to agree a fee

I thought similar but we all know there's a different market for players from the uglies. One thing's for sure, Yams won't be paying £200k!

Will he be cup tied for Sunday? If he was down as an in used sub then I think, under Scottish cup rules he won't be able to play

He's cup tied. Cup tied rules are different from the league cup and Scottish cup
