I thought it was a nailed-on red card at the game and the highlights didn't change my mind in the least. He was unlucky because of the circumstances leading up to it but he lunged in over the ball and was imo rightly sent off.
Delighted and surprised at this news.

Hibernian Football Club can confirm that John McGinn’s two game suspension has been overturned by a Scottish Football Association disciplinary panel.
McGinn received a straight red card for a challenge in Saturday’s Ladbrokes Championship fixture against Falkirk, but this has now been overturned and has now been reduced to a yellow card.
The midfielder is now available for selection for Saturday’s game against Queen of the South at Easter Road on Saturday.
