BREAKING NEWS: Hibs midfielder John McGinn successfully appeals red card against Falkirk. http://bit.ly/1QOEb1b

That is a massive (welcome) surprise. Considering The GFA have now let him play in the SEVCO game.

Can't believe it but that's a fantastic boost for us over such a critical sequence of games.

Great news and tend to agree to be honest as dont think there was a real intent to injure. Yellow would have sufficed

What a bonus that is, never in a million years did I think he'd win it. Well done Stubbs for contesting it.

Yes both games as was now only a yellow. While the Rangers game is huge we also have a very important game in between times.

I thought it was a nailed-on red card at the game and the highlights didn't change my mind in the least. He was unlucky because of the circumstances leading up to it but he lunged in over the ball and was imo rightly sent off.

Delighted and surprised at this news.

My thoughts exactly. Great, and surprising news, but that red card changed the Falkirk match completely and likely cost us 2 valuable points, which could prove crucial at the end of the season.

    MCGINN APPEAL UPDATE

By: Hibernian Media on 17 Dec, 2015 11:30

Hibernian Football Club can confirm that John McGinn’s two game suspension has been overturned by a Scottish Football Association disciplinary panel.
McGinn received a straight red card for a challenge in Saturday’s Ladbrokes Championship fixture against Falkirk, but this has now been overturned and has now been reduced to a yellow card.
The midfielder is now available for selection for Saturday’s game against Queen of the South at Easter Road on Saturday.
