Britain serving for the match.

Would prefer to see Murray on last but you're right, we should win now.

Loved Jamie Murray's comment when a reporter said to him in the post match interview "It must be reassuring for you both in an atmosphere like that to look round and see your brother standing there." His reply... "Well it is for me but probably not for him!"
Fantastic! He's got a decent sense of humour!

Edmund has a good chance of beating him as well but would expect Darcis to be favourite.

Set number one in the bag, 6-3.
Two more to go for history to be made.
So impressed by Murray here, the guy's a legend.

Set number two to GB, 7-5.
One more to go!
What a shot to win that last point.

Commentators reeling off a list of English sporting achievements and thanking the English county coaches and volunteers.
Aye, that's great. It's a GB team with two Scots getting the only points!

Murray wins 6-3 7-5 6-3 and GB have won the Davis Cup for the first time since 1936.
Brilliant effort by the whole team. The rise of team GB since they were in the doldrums in 2010 has been incredible.

Delighted for Murray. Really feel that he does not get the credit he deserves.
Some of my friends and the press always seem to say that he is a bottler etc when it comes to the later stages in tournaments!
He is playing in a era with probably the best two players of all time in Federer and Djokovic with Nadal perhaps a close third ( even with all of his injuries).
Without looking at his grand slam record he only ever seems to get beaten by the above three in the semi or final. Add to this the grand slams that he has won and the Olympics, as well as the fact that he has a few years ahead of him then I think history will be a lot kinder to him than his current treatment by some.

How anyone can criticise him after all that he's achieved over the past three or four years is beyond me.

It is silly but I did hear a 5 live commentator yesterday say after the doubles......
"Andy can win it for England"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Pathetic isn't it. Some people always have to, they just can't help themselves.
