Rivers or Fisheries? Different rods etc depending on where you are going to fish but any decent Tackle Shop will sort you out or have a look online, there's some great bargains for beginners kits. Glasgow Angling Centre, Fishtec online. Some decent brands are Greys and Airflo. Tight Lines bud

If you just want some cheap gear to have a go The Range near Asda at the jewel have some equipment.
