That's rotten luck.
Not sure how much he would have featured in the starting eleven and fingers crossed that we don't lose anymore particularly them who are pretty much automatic starts.

What a shame, rotten luck indeed. But with the intense fitness programmes going on at East Mains, hopefully with some hard work he will come back stronger. No doubt he will be gutted, being out before the season has even begun.
All the best Danny, wish you a speedy recovery.

Jeez that's terrible.
Hope he gets through the recovery OK.... and we don't get anymore players injured.

Poor lad! Will be a test of his physical & mental strength but he'll be in good hands.

Thats a bar steward. ACL killed my football completely. Big difference between someone in their 40s getting a medical repair on the NHS and a young athlete privately through health care insurance. Hope he makes a full physical and mental recovery.

yes, and also that young athlete can spend their whole working day , every day focussing on recovery, whereas non athletes can't they have to squeeze it in after work...the results from these ops now are very high...wishing Danny all the best - see him back soon.

Best of luck to him. I had ACL surgery just over a year ago and it's a tough slog getting back to it and sticking with the physiotherpy. He's got considerably more at stake with it though so sure he'll come through.
Horrible injury.

It's bad enough for Handling, or any player for that matter, to get such an injury in a meaningful fixture.
But for it to happen in a meaningless (other than to get match fitness built up) pre-season friendly just makes it worse.
Hope DH recovers soon.

Only positive for Danny is that he signed a long contract last year, so at least he has that security.
Real shame as I was hoping a wee loan move might revitalise his Hibs career. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

That's a bad injury. Wish him well during his long recovery.
