Wondered if anyone was planning on heading along to this. Being played at Gullane Golf Club. A fantastic wee course with some breathtaking views. Looking at the line up this should be a cracking competition. Gonna try and get along as it's 10mins fi ma hoose. If you've not been down this way I would think this comp would be a pretty decent first visit...

Planning to to on Thursday and I'm taking my car down. The public car parking is near Muirfield and a park and ride facility is in operation from there.
The professionals will find Gullane very easy but it could be just what they want before next weeks Open Championship. I'll forecast a winning aggregate of 260.Last edited by Golden Bear; 06-07-2015 at 04:23 PM.

Going along Saturday or Sunday, haven't decided yet.
Great field and looking forward to it. Should br some low scores but if the wind picks up it could be tricky.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

Rory ruptured his ankle ligaments playing football, might not make the British Open, not sure if he was due to play in this.

Heading down on Sunday and looking forward to it. Hopefully get some tips on good vantage points and spectating strategy from those who attend earlier in the tournament. Really enjoyed last year up at Royal Aberdeen. An excellent spectator experience but a very different golf course to Gullane. Think the crowds could be larger this year but it should be safe to say far more shots should be viewed by the day tripper to Gullane than those spending a day up at St Andrews next week.

Luke donald and matt kucher usually stay with one of my customers when they are playing in scotland as they are all close friends. Kucher was at their house on tuesday (nice bloke) and lovely family. I usually put a bet on the pair of them.

I played at Craigielaw today in mostly a flat calm. Anyone in form at Gullane across aberlady bay should have ripped it a new one pre 2pm. Me I'm hopeless.
