Drivers parking their car on the pavement in a way that makes it impossible to get a wheelchair or pram through, or indeed parking over the dropped kerb bit.

Usually there's also ample parking a short walk away, not that a lack of which would make it excusable but I'd at least "get it".
So annoying. My sister in law is a wheelchair user. There are two pedestrianised bits in our street and there are often cars that park right up next to the ends of them. The other week when we were going out with my SIL, both were blocked meaning there was no easy route out of our street.

The "this week's celebrity death" thread. It just has a mass grave feel about it, surely at least some of those celebs deserve a thread of their own.

My neighbours who don’t cut their grass but when their kids are out back will play in my nice trimmed garden.

We will be having words soon.

My wife stacking bowls in the cupboard after they’ve been washed but not checking the bases of them are dry. It then drips into bowl underneath. She then puts dry food in them like crisps or nuts and as a result the ones near the bottom or sides are soggy.

There is an obvious solution 😉
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

    "Well nobody died".

Some people may have experienced a horrendously difficult time in their life but if "nobody died" then it's alright.

Amazon saying "ordered such and such in the next 3hrs for delivery by 10pm" only for you to order it and be told it'll arrive the next day
I ordered some stuff yesterday that said order in the next 3 hours for next day delivery. It not only isn't coming today, it isn't coming until Saturday.

Whilst we are on deliveries, but not necessarily Amazon... when they get you to sign on the wee handheld computer that you've received a package. It looks nothing like my signature as you have to do it with your finger or one of those crappy wee plastic "pens". Absolutely pointless if it was used to try to prove anything... which I have had experience of as my ex-wife and I were accused of signing for something for a neighbour and stealing it.

Seen that there was 3 pages on a thread about Martin Boyle. Thought it might’ve been interesting news.

Nope. 3 pages of egg puns.

Would like to think I’ve got a decent sense of humour but it’s ****ing tedious.

I think not finding the puns on .net funny actually indicates you probably do have a decent sense of humour.

As I said on another thread, harmless punsters get a fair bit of slagging on these forums, to the extent of some even looking for them being barred, yet certain individuals can troll, antagonise and insult to their hearts content and nobody bats an eyelid.

This is a very Scottish trait - to make excuses for something that is clearly below par, just because it’s managed to avoid being absolutely catastrophic.

Supermarkets that make you sign up to their card/club just to pay for things at the "normal" already over-inflated price (Tesco ) I'll never set foot in a shop that does this.[

I agree, Tesco have introduced two tier pricing. Walking through their store is depressing having the mug price against their Clubcard price.

The mug price subsidises the cheaper price. So unfriendly.
Just me that thinks Tesco is more dearer than Sainsbury’s these days?

Possibly. The more expensive Supermarkets were always beefing up profits. By not raising their prices, the discounters get a whole lot closer

How many are available now and how frequent? They stayed out of West Lothian for donkeys leaving us with a far from decent offering from First bus.

McGills took over first bus in WL and recently announced that as of sometime this month there will be no Sunday service and last bus is 7pm during the week for us.

We have currently the 3 and 49. Both buses usually have 3/4 services per hour.

But the 49 after the 28th of May won’t be going into Edinburgh but instead will operate between Fort Kinnaird and the Royal Infirmary only.

Leaving only the 3 bus to get into Edinburgh from Dalkeith.

There’s going to be a new service 46 that will take you to the royal infirmary and you can change there. The reason for the change is that there has been so much antisocial behaviour on the buses in the Midlothian area that they’ve had to change the routes. The 48 and the new 46 will be single deck buses to try and avoid the kids causing havoc upstairs. The next step will be a withdrawal of services as it’s getting to the point where drivers are leaving rather than drive up to that area. Dalkeith isn’t that bad but Mayfield and Gorebridge have become horrendous at the weekend.

    United we stand here....

    Thanks for the info LB.

The 3 and the 48 coming back into Dalkeith at the weekend is horrendous like you said. Luckily I get off in Easthouses so avoid going to Mayfield and Gorebridge. But If i'm going to Easter Road, I usually get the 49.
