That one absolutely grinds my gears. I don't know where it came from, but I can't stand it.

When people say “well in” instead of “well done”

    Doesn’t make any sense.

The phrase “can we start normalising”. No, no we can’t. Stoap it.

I hate this as well. It's usually some niche thing the majority don't need to worry about as well.

Just made a lovely baked pasta then dopped it getting it out of the oven. I blame Hibs. What a **** day.

In places where you can only book a table if you are a big party but only two of them turn up at the reserved time so they are hogging a table for an hour with only two people at it.

We were at The Pitt earlier and it was reserved from a specific time so the people came and asked us to move (fair enough) but there were only two people at the table for over an hour until their mates turned up. At least turn up on time!

Cooking/baking programmes that only give oven temperatures for electric ovens. Some of us use gas and would appreciate the gas mark as well.

I'm maybe not appreciating the struggles of those with gas ovens, but do you not just know by now?

If they say 180 then it's gas mark X, etc. Or is it harder than that?

Sky News now only show the Dollar exchange rate at the top left of the screen. It used to alternate between the Dollar and the Euro every few seconds.

Large bones in ‘boneless’ smoked haddock, normally when bought from fishmonger there is not a bone in sight, not even a teeny wee one. Wife bought boneless fillets from Morrisons and it was like chewing my way through barbed wire to the point it was inedible 🤬

Think they must have hired Stevie Wonder to fillet and bone those fish (sorry Stevie) 🤬

Haddock stocks are diminished to the extent that all (less and less of the catches are decent sizes) the big fish go to the people willing to pay for it, that leaves fishmongers with the wee fish. We've overfished this species for years and they reckon they will be extinct in the next 30 years. They are currently listed as a vulnerable species. Add to that list Atlantic Cod, some Tuna species, certain species of shark will all be gone within our kids lifetime. Kinda scary but the way we fish has become unsustainable.

Fisherman for some reason get a free pass from the press/media. The way they have raped our seas and oceans of anything edible is unforgivable. The damage they have done to the eco systems is not discussed enough. The worst part is the sheer arrogance from them thinking they have a god given right to do this.

First time it has happened to me so unsure if it's a peeve or it's a grumble, but went to get a trolley today at Lidl as I was buying a couple of big house plants they have on offer (normally just grab one of their funky wheely baskets). Anyways, as I approach the trolley shelter with my pound coin a woman in her 70's (at least) offers me the trolley she's putting back, I give her the pound and shop for plants.
After getting back to my car, I go to park the trolley and when I connect the security device thing from previously inserted trolley, out pops a Cancer Research fob/button in lieu of a pound.
It's a pound, only a quid, but I'm property hacked off that I've been diddled😳

Get bags of frozen ones from Iceland. Do them in milk in a frying pan.

I dont like them poached in milk mate, I normally do them in the oven with tinfoil parcel and steam them for 20 minutes, last time I done them in milk they fell to bits, should just have added cream and made Cullen Skink 😀

I’m sure I’ve mentioned this one before and I got ripped on here for saying it but I’ll mention it again after last night’s game. Folk that sit in the front row (in this case, of an upper tier) and sit on the edge of their seat leaning over the wall. I had my view of over a quarter of one half the pitch blocked last night, including the whole of one of the goalmouths.

When asked to move back he would move back for all of 30 seconds, then it would be back on the edge of his seat, over the wall and his hands on his head, blocking even more of the pitch. Gets bloody annoying having to constantly ask him to move back.

Now you might say, “just do the same yourself” but that then blocks the view of others next to me and I don’t particularly want a bad back.

What’s worse as well is when someone would want past, it took him a while to notice they were there even after asking and tapping him meaning I then often had someone standing in front of me for ages blocking the entire pitch.

The use of the verb ‘host’ instead of ‘having someone round’, ‘I need to get a bottle of wine because someone’s hosting me tonight’…where has this come from? Is it American? makes my skin crawl

  31. #10710
Getting on the tram and seeing loads of bags on seats and a defiant uninterested look directed towards you at having the audacity to want to sit down.🥵
