People wearing face masks around their neck/ chins in shops etc. Either wear the face mask properly or don’t wear one at all, this wearing one for effect without actually using it properly is pointless.
You can't wear a face mask and eat crayons at the same timem

I know this is pet peeves but my mask from them arrived today, just the standard one and not a drinking mask but it's really good quality and would recommend them

When opening a box of paracetamol, ibuprofen, etc. it always seems to open at the end with the instructions folded over the pills, rather than the other end where you can just slide the pill packet out.

Regarding the wearing of masks. The amount of people who say they can’t breathe properly, it’s really uncomfortable, it’s against their rights, they feel muzzled like a dog or it’s just so unbearable. Get a grip you moaning faced twats and wear a mask where you’re supposed to.

I removed my mask in a shop on Saturday, whisky tasting. 😁

B&Q. I get a cold sweat every time I enter the place. Having to spend money on stuff to do tasks that you hate is horrible.

Knowing I have a spare part/piece/grub screw/ clip etc required to do a job as I never throw things away that I might need again but not being able to find it when required. Then weeks later I come across it in my vast collection of tools and spares.

People who absolutely detest everything about 'young people'.

Woman I work with last week:

'Young people not wearing masks need to take a look at themselves, bloody disgrace.'

    Same woman today:

'My niece and her friends paid £25 for a mask. £25! You see the young ones with their fancy masks, just wear plain ones like everyone else'.

As if young people trying to follow a trend or be fashionable is a new thing. If people have to wear a mask then some people are going to want it to look as good as possible.

I think I'll extend my peeve to people who have completely forgotten what it is to be young.

Don't know if this qualifies as a peeve but I hate sitting facing backwards on trains or buses. When there's only seats facing "the wrong way" left, I'd rather stand.

That's a problem many have and the main reason why we have forward facing seats in passenger aircraft.

This reminded me of a time I was sitting on a train waiting to leave Waverley going to Liverpool on a Friday night, a trip I had been doing every two weeks for months. A group of four got on and they had a table booked, as they sat down one of the women asked before she sat down which direction the train was going as she needed to sit facing the direction of travel. The guy with her assured her that she was facing forward and she asked him several times if he was sure to which he assured her she was. At that point I intervened and told the lady that the train was going towards Haymarket so she was sitting in the wrong seat to be facing forward. The guy then abruptly told her to stay were she was as he was right and I was wrong. I explained to him that unless they had moved Haymarket station which was the next stop the train would be heading West not East!
He was still adamant, until we started to move and she was facing backwards, to be fair he apologised for losing his bearings and we had a good laugh all the way to Wigan.

Some aircraft still have them, usually in business class.

Years ago I flew from Edinburgh to London facing backwards and it was very disconcerting.

Just seen the viagra advert on the tv.

Apart from being crap, it’s a perfect example of how to ruin a perfect pop song.

As the youngsters might say, what the actual f*** 😱

Wow, I was just going to post this, just saw it!!

Just awful, both the utterly hideous version of I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) and the ad itself.

It is funny because prior to lockdown, and for a good few years now, I took the train regularly because of work. Anything between two to four days a week, and usually two, but sometimes three different trains going one way, then the same coming back.

I never really thought about it but instinctively I always sat facing backwards. It didn’t feel conscious, I just did it.

Same abroad, on the train, tram or metro. I didn’t realise it until I replied to your post but I just naturally sit facing backwards!

    Discarded masks and gloves.

I work with this stuff and seeing it in unusual places screams "clinical waste never event".

They're just everywhere now, and you don't want to touch them with bare hands to clean them up.

Absolutely hate it, it is everywhere, and I suspect it is only going to get worse.

Awful when you see it in public spaces, horrendous when you hear it is happening in regulated care spaces.

I can't get my head around the thought process of people who just throw gloves and masks on the ground.

'There' s a potentially deadly virus going around so I must protect myself'

'Right, job done. Take that everyone else'

I detest these things. You never hear the original, classic "Mad World" now, just the Gary Jules whiney versions and cover versions of Gary Jules' whiney version.

Newton Faulkner trying to cover ‘Teardrop’ by Massive Attack.

That should be classified as a hate crime and he should face the full weight of the justice system.
