Trinity as well. A boy from Wardieburn was frowned upon at that school 😁

My grandparents both went there in the 40’s and they said the same thing, so it’s clearly and institutional issue.

Mrs Smartie has this on in the background and the David James abomination just came on.

She loves Strictly but managed 30 seconds of him before deciding it was so excruciating she couldn't watch it.

Surely "3 lions" already has a mention somewhere on this thread?

People that intentionally stand up and walk up the aisle of a plane when the food and drink cart is out.

The ****s even have the audacity to smirk and smile when they shove their arse in some poor guy or girls' face as they try to squeeze past it.

I could understand it happening one time, but these ****s do it 3 or 4 times on the same flight and get some sort of enjoyment out of it as if it is their time to shine.

Connected to flights, the other goons who use the seat in front of them as a tool to get their fat arse out their own seat, blood pressure goes through the roof as soon as I'm whiplashed because some fat **** can't move without assistance.

That, and folk who kick off about having to put their bags in the hold - group in front of us waiting to board the plane last night got told they needed to put their luggage in the hold and you'd think they'd been asked to sacrifice their first born.

In the end they hid their bags to get past the baggage handler, even though they knew there wasn't enough room, unfortunately for them one of the group didn't get the memo and their bag got taken.

We all had to wait while folk tried to find a space for their bag once on board though.

Selfish pricks. Incidentally, two of our group had to put their bags in going out and on the way home. It really wasn't any hassle.

I’ve refused before but only because I had a tight connection.

That's a sackable offence right there. Mercifully my missus can't be doing with an awful lot of these grim shows.

The "have you got 5 minutes?" out of the blue phone call at work.

What they actually mean is "can you please stop what you are doing, drop everything, and spend the next 45 minutes handling my (not important) query that I don't have the patience to wait for?".

Last week I visited the wonderful archaeological site that is Delos island. The building skills of these workers from over 2000 years ago is simply stunning. On climbing to the ruins of the highest temple on the island there is overwhelming evidence of a somewhat thick race of people who are under the misapprehension that balancing 3 stones on top of each other is clever. I doff my cap to the ones who get a big flat stone in between two smaller ones......really, I do....

I just quote we do open competitions and cant enter negotiations unless they are on a framework regardless of how good they are. They politely hang up...

Get rid of straws and just put those lids on top that you can sip out of.

You mean the plastic lid instead of the plastic straw. I'm not sending you to save any marine life.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

In places like McDonalds they use plastic lids anyway. Just change them to the lids you can drink out of?

You really don't need straws to drink things though do you.

Can't imagine drinking a milkshake without a straw tbh. It's just how it is done.

True story: when I was 18 I worked at the McDonald's in London Road. A customer who had been through the drive thru phoned to complain that he and his family hadn't been given straws so "how the **** are we supposed to drink our colas" (exact words).

I asked if he'd considered taking the lids off the cups and he replied "no, I didn't think of that, we'll just do that then. " and that was that.

Didn't seem to be to be a hugely elaborate solution but there you go.

What is wrong with you? A straw is essential with McDonalds food. Although they have horrendous paper ones, I take my own plastic one nicked out of Burger King
