Probably not sure if he's fit yet, tbh as good a player as he is we are better balanced without him, when he's been injured we've never struggled and in fact I think we have more wins without than with him.

I reckon they will go 3-5-2 so we will have to match that. I would agree with OP's team.

I got the impression from Stubbs in yesterdays interview that everyone bar Forster and Boyle is available. If that is the case i think we will go 352...

    Ox

    Watson Hanlon Fontaine

    Gray Allan Robertson Craig Stevenson

    Malonga Cummings

We then have Dylan, Fyvie, El as impact players. He may put Fyvie in rather than Craig.

I'm pretty sure it will be a back four of Gray, Hanlon, Fontaine and Stevenson.

    Wouldn't have a clue if 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 however.

Wouldn't surprise me if he went with one up top.

I agree I think we will go 4 at the back probably with Watson on the bench in case we want to change to 3.

Important role will be the right midfielder whether in a 4 or a 5 to provide support to the right back when Wallace bombs forward. In saying that in many ways Wallace is also prone to get caught up the park if we win the ball and counter attack quickly into the space he leaves.

Beaton? Jeezo, he's the numpty that sent off Handling for nothing at Ibrox and then managed to stop two promising attacks at Hampden by getting in the road of the ball.

I mentioned this in another thread of a similar name, can't see Stubbs going all gung ho, I think he'll keep it tight and hope to hit on the break and control the game with passing and posession. He may play 4-2-3-1 which can also be 4-5-1 when defending, He could use Cummings out wide to give Wallace something to think about, allowing Gray to overlap. Allan is pivotal in this game, McCall has used that young lad as a man for man marker in the middle, Allan has to go out there and show why he's player of the season.

McGeouch and Fyvie are available to play but I think 5 at the back has worked best v Rangers this season and the midfield three are in their best form right now.

i think we will see either of these teams line up:

    oxley

    gray hanlon fontaine stevenson

    Robertson

    Mcgeouch Craig

    Allan

    Malonga Cummings

    or

    Oxley

    Gray Hanlon Fontaine Stevenson

    Allan Robertson Fyvie
    Mcgeouch Craig

    Cummings

The main thing for us imo is stopping lee wallace, he is there biggest threat imo

    Agree with this.
Personally not happy with Watson on the right of a back 3 - wasn't comfortable there at Raith Rovers last time.

Discipline is key tonight. Players like Craig and Cummings (and Allan to a lesser extent) will have to screw the nut and not alienate the referee. There was far too much mouthing from these three at Falkirk. Playing with ten men would not be a good idea.

Nice and tight tonight lads, then rip them a new one on Saturday

If you want to stop Lee Wallace why do both your proposed formations have such narrow midfields? Surely a 3-5-2 or some variation on 4-5-1 would make more sense?

That tactic seems to work alright for other teams...
