You can make of this what you will but I find it interesting reading, for instance we have won more away from home than at ER, we have missed more penalties than we have scored and only four teams have had more possession in any games than we have had, Hearts, Rangers, Livingston and Dumbarton. (I thought that we had had more than one penalty against us this season but I can only find the one against Hearts, does anyone know better?)

Season stats (so-far)

I had just looked at our league record by 1/4 & it makes interesting reading also. As we know the damage was done at the start, not just losing 4 of our 1st 6 games but also the knock on effect that had on the confidence of the team & the supporters. Q's 2 & 3 were superb with the last minute loss to Falkirk our only defeat & though we lost 3 games in Q4 we had no draws so didn't suffer over much.
In Q's 2 & 3 we improved or equalled our performance against every team, ie from Q1 to either Q2 or 3 & ( bar Raith IIRC ) from Q2 to Q3. Q4 was strange in that we lost 3 games in a row & lost to Raith & newco for the 1st time. Against that we beat Yams & Falkirk for the 1st time.
Here's a summary by 1/4.
W D L GF GA Points Dropped
Q1 3 2 4 11 11 16
Q2 6 2 1 22 7 7
Q3 6 3 0 20 6 6
Q4 6 0 3 17 8 9

Great stats Mo cheers!
What are the chances that the only pen we concede all season is against the fuds? A perfect encapsulation of both our luck and theirs.

Thanks Mo
Great to see so many different goalscorers and how much we dominated possession.
Noticed the number of corners we had and must admit I can't remember many from which we scored. Strange with Scott Allan having such a good delivery.
Equally we seemed to lose a few from corners. Strange bearing in mind the number of decent players we have at the back.

2 wins in 10 at home v the top 6 - one of which was against hearts when they were in holiday mode.

The 6 home draws were so costly. We deserved to win every single one. If we had we would have been level on points with Hearts

Would be interested to see when we scored our goals and when we conceded them.
We seemed to concede a lot early 2nd half.

Robertson for two bookings in the first derby of the season at Tynecastle
The Malonga one you mention
Can't remember a fourth sending off unless Stevenson's retrospective red card from the first derby is counted

Tremendous discipline not to concede a penalty for 8 months! I really can't remember any we got away with either though I can think of plenty we should have had, notably at Ibrox in 3-1 game, 2 stick ons against Dumbarton at home & the recent Livvy handball.

Great break down of stats there Mo
Interesting that our second half performances, first 15 minutes, are where we seem to concede most - we do seem to start the second half of games very slowly and aren't up to speed.
Something hopefully AS and the squad will take on board in the play-off's.

The bad start was our main failing this season but the conversion rate of 33% and the accuracy of the shooting, this has to be put right for next season.
