The Oystons make Petrie seem like Snow White when you look at some of the names he's been called and not cashed in / done anything to attack his own clubs fans. Hope he doesn't read this mind

From the title could instantly tell who this was about. Absolute nuggets that family.

Depends on what he said I suppose. Did he accuse them of being crooks or was it just a general rant about mismanagement, running the club into the ground etc?
If it was the latter then it goes with the territory IMO and they should suck it up. No matter what the case is the owners should have accepted the apology and left it at that. Folk worth a hundred million quid stiffing an OAP for 20K isn't exactly classy.

Incredible whats happening at Blackpool these days. Oyston has ruined that club.

An apology should have been enough.
You can't go making slanderous allegations about folk on the Web though and expect no consequences.

Hence why our admins carefully monitor this sites use and hopefully avoid this type of situation.

Bet that action has pushed the Oystons to the top of the Blackpool Community popularity poll.
As an earlier poster said, the apology should have been sufficient if they felt aggrieved.
Biblically speaking, you can chalk this up as another win for Goliath.

In light of this story, I hereby take back everything I ever said about Petrie................ including the story about him and the Sheep.
He is, in fact, one of life's good guys and I wouldn't hear a word said against him.

They will end up getting lynched for doing this.

Surely their own actions will do more to damage their reputation than anything this guy has said on facebook.

There was a high profile human rights case in nz recently where a woman won an unprecedented sum from an invasion of privacy case cos the contentious comments on fb were obtained illegally by her ex employer. Her Facebook settings were set to private so they had no right to them. Seems like a technicality but the case hinged on it (as well as the disgraceful behaviour of the ex employer)

The Oystons really are a lovely family, just google their names and see just what fine upstanding people they really are.
If it were any other club than Blackpool, i think it would really nark me but they way some of their fans went on about them when they managed to somehow make the Premiership, it sort of fills me with a little glow.
They also have the Jambo and sevco abacus when totting up the crowds each week, my mate goes to every game and he says there is between 4 and 5 thousand going these days, but the official gates are 9 and 10 thousand.
