    Captain material..

Good on the ground - good in the air and dangerous at set pieces.

Any idea length of his contract ?

He is a real class act. So comfortable on the ball.

Really seems to have connected with the club and I'm desperate for him to stay.

Been an absolute rock all season...total pro and future captain. Hope we can get him signed up long term...he looks like he loves it here. Great how he acknowledges all 3 hibs stands at kick off and full time...regardless of result. Love the guy!

Get him on a decent contract and maybe a player coach role too. Let him pass on what he knows to the youngsters.

Really hope we can offer him a longer deal, and he signs!

Small thing but love the way he always goes out his way to applaud all three stands before/after every match.

    Hibs class.

You can tell the guy has played at a good level for a fair bit of his career. Looks very comfortable on the ball and with Hanlon I think it's the best central defensive partnership we've had in a long, long time.

Also, Forster was outstanding today and I think the back 3 really suit the 3 of them (Fontaine, Hanlon & Forster).

Best defender we have had in years

My player of the year. The man is top drawer and the standard we should now be setting at ER for the future.

    Liam, you are class.

I know it's just the first division but I fully agree with this. Discounting Sauzee who wasn't really a defender I don't think I've seen a better Hibs centre back. And I'm still yet to see him in the flesh.

    Fontaine > Bamba
    Fontaine >>> Jones
    Fontaine >>>> Fenwick
    Fontaine >>>> Smith
    Fontaine >>>>> Caldwell
    Fontaine >>>>>> McPake
    Fontaine >>>> Hughes
    Fontaine >>>>> McIntosh
    Fontaine >>>>>>> Hogg

Only competition he has had is Hanlon who I hope stays with us for a good while.

Of course though, this isn't counting the legend that is Humphrey Rudge. And big Ulrik as a left back.

Agreed. Others seem to be getting the attention but he just keeps his head down and gets on with it. He is never mentioned on either Sportsound or Sportscene. Just goes to show they know eff all. We'd do well to hold on to him. Good CH's are hard to come by.

Was always impressed whenever he played against Cardiff for Bristol city. In fact was surprised to learn he had been released by them. Get him on a new contract ASAP, a quality player IMO especially at this level and indeed at SPL level as well.
