Thing I love most about the 2nd goal in that clip is the reactions from Stanton and Boyle. Also the rest of the players outside of the clip, I know it's easy to expect your players to be delighted at scoring a 90th minute winner but it shows the togetherness and the fact they know what's at stake. It would have been easy for many squads before this one to play this down as "Oh well we dropped 2 points but we have won the last 5/6 in a row so cut us some slack" not this one, they want every point from every game.

    Hang on.

Does anyone else notice one of our players getting wiped out in the box as that throw came in? Whistle should have went immediately!!

Please, no more of this "we got away with it" crap from anyone any more.

Yep blatant foul on Robertson though central defenders should have dealt with it better. Hanlon and Watson seemed to get in each others way but very weak header. Obvious foul and should have been ruled out.

Howling defending for their goal. Hopeful throw into our box. Have to defend those better.

Clear foul on Scott Robertson tbf Hermit and should of been pulled up by ref.

By all accounts we should of had the game well won before HT but didn't capitalise.

Did it the hard way but 3pts are 3 pts at the business end of the season.

I expect Gray, Allan, McGeouch and Malonga to be in the starting 11 on Sat.

Yes I thought robo was fouled but you're right. 3 points. Disappointed by losing our clean sheet record though.

Indeed HC. We now need to concentrate and prepare for a very hard game against the blue Brazil on Sat!

First thing I noticed when watching it, how on earth did the ref or his assistant not see that? a more blatant barge in the back you will never see and the ref in particular had a very good view of it.

Even stranger considering he had been fussy at our corners and given them two free kicks for very innocuous challenges in their box.

Mind I think the ref is a follower of St Mirren (I think) so perhaps he is worried come the play offs

He is actually a good ref and lets the game flow

I mentioned that at the game last night when someone behind me was moaning about Oxley not coming for the ball.

Really poor goal to lose but to go straight up the other end and score shows we have something about us that we have lacked for a long time.

We aren't beating anyone 10-0 but in years gone by we would be the team equalising near the end then immediately conceding and lsoing the game.

As long as we keep on winning that's all that matters, I'd like our finishing to be a bit more clinical but sometimes it just doesn't come off.

100% a foul on Scott Robertson who was positioned to clear the ball. Would have been raging if we dropped points because of that.

Djedje has quite a bit of skill and is good in air. Still seems to be adjusting to our game but I remember from last night he played (tried to in some instances) some very clever through balls. He will come very good soon. Very healthy competition with 4-5 players up top that are dangerous and can score. How many games has he started and scored in? Is it not 2 in 2? Or 2 in 3?

I find him very much like Malonga - to a supporter who wants blood and thunder, he'll infuriate - to a supporter who allows a player a little bit of slack because they know he'll pop up and be a game changer in a flash, he'll be a hero.

Like Malonga, he 'conserves energy' (to be kind)........but it's that little burst late in the game, that touch of brilliance, that extra spring that make them both match winners.

A right place right time player. Goals to games/time on the pitch ratio is excellent too.

Keith Watson seems to have gone without much praise - I think he has been a gem of a signing. Solid, reliable and like Fontaine, calm under pressure.

Wow. How anyone could have expected Oxley to come out for that is beyond me. People's expectations of Goalkeepers in these situations can be absolutely ridiculous.

I think some fans think we have Mr Tickle in goals at times.

He's very like Ben Williams - reliable, not spectacular. The thing about this season is we have an attack minded side and formations set up to keep possession and circulate the ball forward quickly, so he is not tested as much as other keepers we have had previously. Long may that continue

Unlike other seasons he has also had the luxury of a settled back four/three so the understanding is built up and each player knows their jobs. Looking back at the last 14 games, is it 36 scored only 9 conceded. That is a great record.

I agree regarding Watson. His crossing is superb and with El Alagui coming back can see him getting on the end of them

And first person onto the pitch at FT to congratulate JJ was Jason Cummings. Great team spirit.

St Mirren fan like Chick Young, you mean?

We'll be hard pressed to get anything from the refs between now and the play-offs.

And if we play The Rangers in THEM, we'll get NOTHING.

Plus ça change, and all that ...

I think people underestimate how technically good that header was. It was precise with enough power and speed to leave the keeper dead. If that was an EPL striker doing that it would be raved about !!

    ps: Another cracking assist Lewis

Can't believe nobody has mentioned the pass from Craig for the 1st goal, I'm sure he had a similar pass earlier in the game which also put Cummings through on goal. If it had been Scott Allan who made the pass we'd all be raving about it, then again people only take note of Craig's passes when there are backwards to keep possession!
