    Fyvie and Allen

We have the best midfield by a mile in this league but how can we play the two together.

In a diamond 4 with McGeough and Robertson

Those 4 are top 4 SPL players imo. That is our strongest midfield 4.

For any one of a number of reasons. Despite the rangers being not very good, Ibrox is never an easy place to go and expect to control the game. The main point to come from tonight is that we ground out a difficult win, which was backs to the wall at times. We can't dominate every game and the fact we achieved what we did is testament to the belief that now exists. I'm happy with that

Other than the fact they weren't on the pitch at the same time, Stubbs decision to bin the diamond meant we were short in midfield

I would like to see a 4-1-3-2 with a ball winning defensive mid-fielder in front of the back four and allow Fyvie, Allan and McGeough to do there stuff.

Rangers weren't scared of us and actually got a bit confidence back tonight, pertly due to our bad start.

Don't think we controlled the midfield as much as would have expected tonight. End of the day though two beautiful defence splitting passes that few players in this league would have been capable of that pulled the result out. We are very lucky to have that capability.

My reading of it is that Allen is away in the summer - so let's get his replacement in now so we have some continuity.

And give him a contract that expires 12 months before Allan's?

I'm not convinced Allan's as good/as much of a threat when McGeoughs in the team for some reason.

Allen goes in the summer for bucks and Fyvie gets a two year contract.

Look I've been in the pub watching a great performance from Hibs and my judgement may not be that great - but it's a thought isn't it?
