    Lewis Stevenson

Thought he deserved a thread to congratulate him on another goal, and a cracking finish it was too.

I'd like to see him have a pop at goal a little more often - the one he scored last season was a peach too. Maybe doesn't have a massive amount of power but can clearly place it in the corner.

Moving him to the right was a great move from Stubbs. He's much better over there than Booth. He'll be back over there soon as Gray is fit again.

Superb professional and Hibs through and through. Unsung hero imho. Wee selfie with him a few months back.

I think he'll be back there next week with Forster at right back.

One of my contenders for MOM. Played very steady and let Hanlon deal with his own game today, thought last week having Booth at rb led to Hanlon having a poor game.

i'd stick with 3 at the back... i love that setup. gives us loads of width and also we stronger in the defence with the 3.

Found his true position at last.........free scoring right full back.

Joking apart good, solid, reliable. versatile, honest, strong, hard tackling, pacy, determined player with 10 years service.

A team full of them and we would be at the right end of the top league.

Love these threads. the amount of time players like Lewis a ripped apart on here...not good enough...reason why we are were we are. etc. We are were we are coz were have been a shambles of a football club for years. Thats changed.

I wish he'd shoot more often.

Think I've seen him have about 3 shots in the last 3 years and 2 have gone in.

Quite honestly I'm really expecting him to add the occasional goal to his game - Lewie is my favourite Hibs player but I think that sometimes he's too modest for his own good. Really loved to see him get the reaction from the crowd and his team mates that he deserves.

I think he has got better this season and I reckon he has been more than decent since he broke through. His goal was the highlight today for me.
    Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
    He'll die before he's sold.

    Yes he was!

So full of running and forever in place to receive the ball and do something with it.

A few crosses he put over today could have been put away if there had been someone waiting in the box.

So So pleased he got that goal it will do his confidence the world of good and what a great reaction from the crowd to it too.

Well done Lewis lets do it again next week pal!!!

Know what you mean, but personally I think Stubbsy has an eye for a player and the togetherness is as good as I've seen it since Latapy/Sauzee/O'Neil years.

That was the highlight for me.

I was just thinking the same - even thought about digging up the threads from last season slagging him and Fenlon off for playing him there.

But....he's only playing there coz he's better than Booth. Its a wise move this time. But he won't stay there.

little option though - Booth was like a fish out of water over there last week.

You lose a bit from Stevenson over there as well bit as someone said Hanlon was more comfortable, they were poor and didn't trouble us so it was all fine in the end.

Good finish and the loudest cheer of the day for him.

they were never going to expose him.

It will be interesting to see what Stubbs does in the next couple of weeks. Bring Forster in at RB and move Lewis back to the left or stick with what worked today.

But surely Fenlon only played him there because Maybury was injured and he didn't stay there?

It did work but it was only Cowdenbeath. We lose a bit having him at RB because he continually cuts back in.

Depending on the opposition I suspect he may go for three at the back with Lewis moving to left mid.

I have to confess I think Booth is too suspect when defending for him to remain a first team pick week in, week out. Think Forster will head to RB with Stevenson as LB with Booth on the bench.

Agree as Stubbsy liked that when we had the players but good to have options.

  28. #27
Disappointed he scored. Down to 66.66 percent of his goals I've seen. Funny that him and both seem to score in the same games.

I hope we confirm a new deal and testimonial year for Lewis soon.
His efforts, attitude and passion for our club richly deserve to be recognised.
