    Record streak?

Can any stat fanatic tell me what the record for scoring in consecutive matches is?
Cummings on 5 in a row is he getting close?

Think O'Connor got to about 10 or 11 or am I imagining that?

Trig will be dealing with this query as we speak

    According to this: http://www.espnfc.com/scotland/news/2002/0408/20020408dufcsvhfcsrep.htm...

O'Connor was the first to get to five since Gordon Rae (Rae in 1982, O'Connor in 2002). Joe Baker got to ten.

I think maybe O'Connor did something else like seven consecutive away games? Dunno. [edit - can't find anything on that one so probably not.]

Akpo Sodje went on a right scoring run too IIRC

He scored in four straight matches towards the end of the 2010/11 season.

Leigh Griffiths scored in five consecutive matches on two occasions during the 2012/13 season.

Alan Gordon scored 8 goals in 5 consecutive games http://www.fitbastats.com/hibs/playe...id=6210&page=3

Jimmy O'Rourke scored 9 in 5 consecutive games including a cup game. http://www.fitbastats.com/hibs/playe...id=6157&page=1

As far as I can see, GOC & Deeks never scored in 5 on the bounce so Jason is in good company

I missed that as I'm getting my information from Soccerbase and the games against Dundee Utd and Dundee in that sequence are separated by a Scotland appearance so it looked as if he only scored in five consecutive matches, unless you look carefully.

    Good spot.

Ally MacLeod scored in nine consecutive games back in 77/78.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

He also scored a fair number after switching to defence, including a scorcher in a game against Rangers with George Best in our side.

I remember Alex Miller sticking him up front against hearts years later, that didn't work out as well

Record streak? Well in terms of records it must have been the most painful - the boy that dived onto the pitch at East End Park - but forgot they'd changed to AstroTurf - that had to hurt!!!

It was definitely five in a row.

He scored in seven out of eight matches but didn't score in a 1-0 defeat away to Kilmarnock, which was the sixth game in that sequence.

Having researched this back to the start of time, Baker's 10 games in a row was the record that I could find.

However, I've unearthed more information on the second division years 1893-1895 when Hibs scored 175 goals in 36 games so there might be a an increase on 10.
