Do you think any of the current team/squad could be called One of our Own. My vote would go to Stevenson.

Stevenson is a Raith Rovers fan and therefore cannot be considered as one of our own; as much as I do hold him dear.

Has to be Hanlon. The whole point of the song is they are one of our own. A hibs fan. Stevenson as much as I like the guy is a raith fan.

Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson. Lewis may not have been brought up as a a Hibby but he gives everything for the team.

A rather poor debate really when we have difficulty naming more than one player that was raised as one of us.
I suspect when a similar question is put to the imbreds across the City there will be a show of hands with a Please Sir, Me Sir. If nothing else that season in the doldrums certainly matured their youngsters.

Jordon Forster? (when he's back)
We've plenty guys come up through the youth ranks but playing for the youth team doesn't always mean you support that team.

Mind you I keep wanting to call him Eric after one of my all time favourite Hibs players. Now if wee Lewis could get past defenders like Eric did then he would be some player.
Definitely one of our own.

Its in the eye of the beholder, but the only players over recent time whose efforts I feel get them the accolade are Lewis, Paul Hanlon and Griffiths - because he is obviously a fan in the true meaning of the word, even though he left and is where he is.
"I did not need any persuasion to play for such a great club, the Hibs result is still one of the first I look for"
Sir Matt Busby
