Interesting piece, specially towrds the end regarding supporters and how much they can influence a game just by giving the keepers such a hard time.
Could explain a lot of performances against Hearts when they abused keeper after keeper. That tension spread round the whole team.

Understandable though it is given recent Hibstory, we as a support need to avoid keeching out pants when a keeper makes an error - to stick with them rather than "oh here we go again".
we also need the club to recognise the importance of paying for a quality keeper and captain."We know the people who have invested so far are simple fans." Vladimir Romanov - Scotsman 10th December 2012
"Romanov was like a breath of fresh air - laced with cyanide." Me.

Interesting read.
I was surprised on here when many weren't that impressed with Williams during his time here, same this season with Oxley.
I remember several years before Williams arrival where any basic ball played in between our defence and goalkeeper, or even the crappiest, flighty ball into the box, caused absolute panic for the team, and seriously unnerved the support.
Williams' and Oxley's comfort and confidence with the ball at their feet meant that (the second half of last season apart) the most basic threats were dealt with easily, and we were under so much less pressure in games than we were before.
