It's a common occurrence, as seen last night, to watch a manager berating the 4th official about some dodgy decision or other.
But what happens next? Does the 4th official actually do anything? Write it down? Submit a report? Tell the ref? Or is he just a sort of agony aunt for managers?

Always remember Mowbray saying that the decision to put a 4th official in there just created problems that didn't need creating.

On Sunday it was a chance for him to catch up with his mate Robbie Neilson. Spent many periods standing having a wee chuckle with each other.

What was the assistant referee in front of the West Stand last night doing is more to the point. He missed almost everything!
