    Gutted!

Most folk on here will remember back to a certain game at Hampden where a number of our players didn't seem too bothered they had been horsed by our neighbours in a cup final.

Skip forward to last night after the final penalty was taken. Every player that took part and those that were unused substitutes looked absolutely gutted.

I hope their reaction is to give Cowdenbeath an absolute doing a week on Saturday.

Will be interesting to see how we play against the lesser teams who sit back rather than Utd and hearts who attacked which clearly suited Hibs

Even the teams who have sat back have been afforded far too much time on the ball at the back to knock it about. We've not engaged high enough up the park. Last night we stopped them playing out from back by pushing up higher and playing with intensity when it was played out. Its what I've been choking for at ER since we started this campaign. Time to work ourselves into ground against ALL teams not just the so called better teams.

Spot on. It's no coincidence that our best games have been against Huns, Yams and Utd who have all been favourites and chased the game. Despite all the bravado on here, the acid test of this Hibs team's progress will be how they do against the smaller teams who have little to lose.

Livingston weren't going gung ho and we put them to the sword . The tide has turned imo . 14 pts will be eaten into big time before the new year derby .

The point is, performances and results like the Livi game should be the norm. Brush them aside, on to the next one. Hate to say it but that's what Hearts have been doing so well.

Instead we're raving about it because it was exceptional, whereas so far this season the norm has been toiling against sides happy to sit in and play for a draw.

Hopefully, the Livi game was a turning point, Cowdenbeath away is the first acid test of that.

Correct. Dun united didnt either on wed....they let us have the ball and sat in their own half, only pressing when we got near the half line.

Wed was proof we can break down teams who are camped in their own half.
